Our Boats
boats we fish from
The Boats
The 23' Parker Center Console is the perfect boat for our fishing. It is completely versatile with its mod-V hull which allows us to run shallow and quiet to gets tight to shore, and it has the length along with solid hull construction for choppy seas. The open layout of the bow and stern are perfect for multiple fly or spin anglers. The fly rod storage allows for 6 fly rods plus spin gear which makes it the ultimate inshore fishing vessel.
Thanks to Hog Island Boat works, we added the weapon of a 16’ flats boat which give us the ability to get stealthy and close to fish on the flats. If you like sight fishing for stripers it’s a great platform to fish from drafting only inches it allows us to fish longer in skinny water. Additionally, we added a Minnkota trolling motor. This powerful motor can lead the boat anywhere we want to go while barely making a sound. It's great to position the boat on the flats and control the boat on drifts.
The Gear
We provide and use high-quality tackle. For our fly gear, we'll use 8-10wts from Sage, G.Loomis and Orvis with bulletproof Cheeky and Orvis reels along with tapered fly lines that includes floating through sinking lines. For spin, we'll use medium weight rods for perfect presentation and control. As always, you're welcome to bring your own favorite gear.
Flies and Lures
Our fish can be highly selective, when it comes to flies, I've developed an array of flies that work. I am an avid fly tyer and tie all flies that will be used during our trip to match the baitfish that our targeted fish demand. Please feel free to bring your own secret stash as well. With spinning tackle, we'll use soft plastics, poppers, and stickbaits.
